David Sagar, CEO, Work Health Group and Co-Founder of IPAR

David commenced his career as a physiotherapist, working for a number of years in a clinical setting. He completed studies at Melbourne Business School before working in management consulting for a number of regulators, insurers and health care providers nationally. David was a co- founder of IPAR in 2003 and became Managing Director in 2006. Today, David is CEO of the Work Health Group and holds the position of President with the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association Victorian Branch.


Ben O’Neill, General Manager – Operations

With IPAR since 2006, Ben is responsible for executing IPAR’s strategic business objectives. He champions client engagement, ensures customer relationships are fostered and maintained, and oversees business development activities to ensure the continued growth and development of IPAR’s national office network. Underpinning this, Ben’s role is to partner with IPAR’s management team to foster a high achieving organisational culture which maintains customer focus and sustains the performance excellence of the organisation.


Sarah Gomizel, State Manager – Victoria

Sarah joined IPAR in 2009 as a Registered Psychologist, delivering Return to Work New Employer Services (NES), before moving into the Melbourne Branch Manager role. In 2012, Sarah became Victorian NES Manager, overseeing service delivery, quality and performance for this division across the state. Then, in 2014, Sarah became Victorian State Manager, responsible for the performance of the business across multiple service streams including workers compensation, Comcare, TAC and life insurance.


Suzanne Gibson, Southern NSW Manager

Suzanne has been with IPAR since 2006. She commenced in vocational services before progressing to Sydney Regional Manager in 2010. In her current role, she is responsible for the performance of IPAR’s branch network in Southern New South Wales and the ACT, ensuring the ongoing success and growth of the business by overseeing the financial, HR, technical and customer relationship performance of all branches. Suzanne is currently completing a Masters of Psychology.


Matthew Shepherdson, Northern NSW Manager

Matt started his career at IPAR in 2003 as an Occupational Therapist delivering Return to Work Same Employer services, before moving to Sydney to open IPAR’s first New South Wales branch in 2005. Matt was the Sydney manager from 2005, opened the Tamworth office in 2010 and commenced as the Northern NSW Manager in 2014. Matt oversees service delivery across all offices in Northern NSW, ensuring that our service delivery and quality exceeds customer requirements and our financial performance meets forecasted expectations.


Tony Cacciola, State Manager – Queensland

Tony is a senior leader with 25 years’ experience working across the rehabilitation, injury prevention, injury management, return to work and employment services industries. With a Masters of Business Administration, Tony joined IPAR in 2016 as Queensland State Manager, after a number of years with a global advisory firm. He is responsible for the service delivery, quality and financial performance of all branches across the state.


Kate Johnson, Regional Manager – SA, WA, NT, Tasmania

Kate commenced her career as an Occupational Therapist working in consulting roles within workplace rehabilitation. Over the past 15 years, she has gained experience working across various state legislations, Comcare and government organisations. Joining IPAR in 2013 in a Regional Manager position, she is responsible for the performance of IPAR’s branches across South Australia, Western Australia, Northern Territory and Tasmania. Kate has a Masters of Business.


Jo Broomhall, National Manager – Customer Experience

An occupational therapist, Jo joined IPAR after 12 years in workers compensation and occupational rehabilitation in Australia and New Zealand. Her most recent roles were managing national workers compensation accounts in Sydney and overseeing large client relationship teams. She enjoys working with employers to improve their workers compensation performance and health outcomes for their employees. In her current role, Jo is responsible for the performance of IPAR’s national account and business development teams.


Georgina Lamb, National Manager – Business Development

A physiotherapist with extensive experience spanning clinical, rehabilitation, insurance and healthcare markets, Georgina joined IPAR in 2014 in a dedicated account management role for Comcare. She progressed to National Manager of Life Insurance, responsible for the growth and performance of a team of life insurance consultants. Georgina is now National Manager of Business Development overseeing new business opportunities, product development and strategic partnerships across all service streams.


Melissa Wilson, HR Manager – Occupational Rehabilitation

Melissa joined IPAR in January 2016 as the Manager of People and Potential after more than 15 years in generalist HR and recruitment roles in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is responsible for developing IPAR’s people strategy and utilises strong communication and influencing skills to champion the high performance culture of our teams. Melissa also drives leadership capability and professional development programs, as well as national team retention strategies.
