At IPAR, we provide a client-centred approach to help people to return to health, wellbeing and work following a motor vehicle accident. This can include assessing your home for equipment or supports that help you to return to the things you enjoy at home and within the community. We can provide recommendations that will aid in your recovery, and help you set and achieve your rehabilitation goals.

Recovering in the community
Whatever your personal recovery goals are, IPAR can assist you. Through our holistic support, we assist clients return to their pre-accident lifestyle and hobbies such as motorbike riding, returning to playing musical instruments, boogie boarding, golf and fishing. We pride ourselves on thinking outside the box, and use equipment recommendations, treater engagement, and research and integration of community groups/supports to assist clients to return to their most meaningful activities.
Recovery at Home
IPAR completes Activities of Daily Living assessments to assess your ability to manage at home. This enables formulation of specific recommendations to enable timely support so that you can focus on your recovery and maximise your independence. IPAR will develop a client-centred ADL upgrading plan to enable monitoring and achievement of these goals as well as effective review of Occupational Therapy interventions.
Recovery at Work
When returning to the Same Employer:
IPAR complete Workplace Assessments to enable a thorough understanding of your pre-accident role through task analysis and liaison with yourself and employers. IPAR are able to use this information to guide return to work planning, which is supported by regular communication with all stakeholders, including treating parties to enable a timely, safe, and sustainable return to work. In addition, IPAR have a thorough understanding of SIRA vocational programs to support you and your employer in this process.
When returning to a Different Employer:
If you are unable to return to the same employer following an accident, IPAR are able to assist in completion of a Vocational Assessment to identify suitable employment options based on your individual skills, knowledge and experience. IPAR can assist with job seeking services to enable you to be independent with job applications, interviews, and commencing work in a new role. In addition, IPAR have a thorough understanding of SIRA vocational programs to support yourself and new employer in this process.
