IPAR has made significant investments to ensure a nationally consistent and high quality service to Life Insurance customers. Our account management structure includes two senior managers dedicated to overseeing our Life Insurance portfolio, with complementary skill sets and backgrounds in both physical and psychological rehabilitation. These senior leaders work in close partnership with life insurers to improve performance.
Every IPAR office has a dedicated Life Rehabilitation Consultant. These Consultants are experienced in Life Insurance occupational rehabilitation services and have completed training facilitated by IPAR’s Life Insurance Managers and industry experts. They have a keen understanding of the nuances of the sector and policy definitions. Using their clinical experience, our Life Consultants apply evidence-based, individually tailored and empathetic solutions for every case, thinking outside the boundaries of what might be applicable in other frameworks.
How we work with Life Insurers
We work closely with every Life Insurance customer to understand their unique needs. Life Insurers are assigned a dedicated and experienced Life Insurance Account Manager to get an indepth understanding of their portfolio, their operations and business objectives. With this understanding our Account Managers are able to provide unique and innovative solutions from our strong research foundation that will make a positive impact to their customer’s business.
We also offer ‘parachute’ team solutions, where senior IPAR Life Specialists are available to Life Insurers to assist with performance improvement via in-house rehabilitation or claim team support and review of underwriting and claims processes.

Development of a streaming tool for stepped care model of intervention, demonstrating superior return to work outcomes and low cost programs for members.
- Optimising Rehabilitation within Life Insurance Claims Program
IPAR partnered with ClearView Life Insurance to develop an innovative program to centralise and encompass the rehabilitation function within their claims management process. The program was awarded ‘highly commended’ at the ALUCA and Swiss Re Excellence & Innovation in Return to Work Awards 2015/2016.
