“Working at IPAR is easily one of the best things I’ve done. Not only do you get a great mixture of clinical and case management exposure, but the career progression, opportunities and workplace culture is something that all organisations should strive for. I never thought that this early in my career I would have the opportunity to work in a leadership position, but that just demonstrates the belief IPAR has in its team members.”

Working at IPAR

No day is the same and new challenges are just around the corner at IPAR.

Since 2003, we have grown from an idea, to a small start-up, to a national company and a leading provider in our sector. Along the way we have assisted our clients in their time of need, delighted our customers with our leading results, and continuously grown and developed our wonderful team.

The growth of our business has brought about more opportunity for our people, and we’ve invested in technology and support resources to make our work more effective and efficient. And we never stop looking for new ways to do things better, together.

What we value

As we go about our business and work towards our goals, these are the things that are important to us.

To be an IPARian means being caring, collaborative and inclusive. We’re accountable, approachable and authentic, lifting ourselves and others to be the best we can be each and every day.

We’re here to make a positive difference for our clients, our customers, our team and our community. We believe in making meaningful connections as we support people in their time of need.

Is there a better way? Let’s find it. We show curiosity and courage in the face of challenge or change and draw on experts, insights and evidence to continually deliver the highest quality solutions.

“It’s very rare to find a company that has such a great culture and I feel strongly that it’s the people at IPAR that make it such a great place to work. I’ve always felt appreciated in my role and being able to have the opportunity to help in so many areas within the business is really rewarding.”

The benefits we enjoy

At IPAR, we go about our days with a sense of purpose and fun, tapping into a range of support and benefits that we can all enjoy.

KEEPING WELL

Of course there’s fresh fruit, refreshing tea and great coffee in the office. There’s also a health and wellness program to tap into. Our teams are creative in their thinking – choices have ranged from massages and meditation, to cooking classes, comedy shows, fun runs, bowling, sailing… even cake decorating!

MAINTAINING BALANCE

We encourage our people to find their work life balance. Most of our roles can work from home, all of our roles can accommodate family priorities. You’ll enjoy the flexibility and autonomy you want in setting up your day, with the support, mentoring and leadership that you need to succeed.

MOVING ON UP

We know that career progression is key for our people, and we love promoting from within. You’ll find the new graduates of yesterday are the leaders of today. Whether it’s a new location, new service, or a role within the wider MedHealth group, the career opportunities at IPAR are endless.

STAYING INFORMED

As allied health professionals we place significant importance on staying at the top of our game. Our professional development programs help to develop your skills and maintain the CPD required for professional registrations, with a wide range of topics covering specialist areas, industry changes and best practice.

TAKING TIME

There’s time for work and time for play. If you need extra time to explore the big wide world, there’s the option to purchase leave. There’s also time to give back, with paid volunteering at our chosen charity. And there’s time for the most special delivery of all – paid parental leave to support you and your new arrival.

CELEBRATING ACHIEVEMENTS

We love recognising and celebrating our achievements and the incredible difference we make through our work. Just one of these celebrations is our annual Star Awards, where we nominate our peers across ten customer and client-focused categories and celebrate the nominees and winners across every state.

“IPAR have been very willing to not only understand my employment goals, but to assist me to achieve them. They provide their staff with support that suits their individual needs. Overall, I have not only felt supported but also that I am considered a valued member of the team. I believe that IPAR has a strong desire to ensure that its staff are not only able to do their job but that they are working towards their personal goals. ”

Bringing you on board

Our recruitment process is designed to tap into the ‘best’ you, to ensure that you are matched to the right role and to provide you with as much information as possible to make the right career choice.

Step 1 – Submit your application

We would be delighted to receive your résumé and a covering letter that tells us what interests you about the role and joining the IPAR team. Details of your qualifications and any relevant professional registrations are also vital, so please include these in your résumé.

Step 2 – Application review

Each role at IPAR has defined requirements and competencies that are required to be successful. We use these competencies to determine the screening criteria for each role and to complete a review of your application.

Step 3 – Telephone introduction

If your application meets the core requirements for the role, then it’s time to chat. Our talent acquisition team will be in contact for an initial conversation, confirming the details of your application and providing a brief overview of the role and IPAR.

Step 4 – The interview

A shortlist of candidates will proceed to the interview stage. This is a chance for us to talk through the role and the opportunities it offers in more detail. We’ll discuss your skills, technical knowledge and suitability for the position and are also very keen to answer any questions that you may have.

Step 5 – Reference and pre-employment checks

Following a successful interview process, we progress to the final stage of the recruitment process, with pre-employment checks. These include employment references, professional qualification and/or registration confirmation, and background checks if required.

Step 6 – Offer of employment

With the recruitment process completed, the successful candidate will receive a verbal offer of employment, followed by a letter of employment and employment agreement. Our recruitment co-ordinator is still in contact with you to answer any questions you may have about the offer and starting process.

Step 7 – Joining the team and making your start

We love welcoming new team members on board and aim to have you feeling at home in your new role from day one. Our induction program is extensive, and you’ll also have the support of a buddy, your team and our leaders to help settle into your role.

“Joining IPAR has given me the opportunity to utilise my clinical knowledge in an entirely different way – helping people return to work safely.  I have seen many different types of injuries, in areas and jobs that I never knew existed. No two days are ever the same and I love that about this role. I also get to work amongst the best people who completely understand what you’re trying to achieve and help is always available if you need it.”

IPAR’s founding Directors, David Sagar and Cameron Dare combine their allied health, management consulting, recruitment and employment services backgrounds to open IPAR in Melbourne in July 2003. The goal is to bring a more client-centred and outcome-focused approach to workplace rehabilitation.

  • 2005

  • 2009

IPAR expands to Queensland with the acquisition of Brisbane workplace rehabilitation business, Fit for Life. The success of this acquisition and the ability to help many more people affected by workplace injury or illness leads to many more acquisitions in the future.

  • 2012

Our New South Wales operations expand again with the acquisition of Penrith based Accent Group, providing the opportunity to help people with injury or illness across the ever-growing greater Western Sydney region. We then open in Adelaide, followed by the acquisition of Canberra firm Incorporating Ergonomics.

  • 2014

Our national footprint is complete, with the acquisition of Darwin business Total Health and Rehab and the opening of our first Tasmanian office in Launceston. Our network now covers metropolitan and regional centres in every state and territory of Australia.

IPAR is named as a finalist in the BRW GE Capital Momentum Awards, in the best Mid-Market Business category, recognising high performance, employee growth, demonstrated innovation and industry leadership.

  • 2015

To maintain our strong growth and enhance our ability to help more people with continually innovative services, IPAR enters a partnership with private equity firm, the Riverside Group. We also celebrate IPAR’s Managing Director David Sagar when he is awarded the Victorian Australian Rehabilitation Provider Association (ARPA) award for Exceptional Leadership.

  • 2016

In August 2016, IPAR joins forces with the WorkFocus Group, to create the Work Health Group.
